Introduction to the Work that Reconnects, June 21

In a nation and a world in which the current “business as usual” systems are causing huge problems — climate and ecological devastation, wars, racial and economic oppression, and existential threats to our democracy — the Work That Reconnects (WTR) is a toolkit for processing overwhelming emotions of grief, fear, anger and hopelessness and transforming them.

A four-hour workshop will provide an introduction to the WTR for up to 12 participants on Saturday, June 21, 9AM-1PM in the Head Start Room of the First Unitarian Universalist Society in Newton (1326 Washington Street, West Newton).

The workshop will be led by Demie Stathoplos, an experienced WTR Facilitator. Using experiential exercises, the workshop will show how the WTR has for ten years helped thousands of people over decades to build resilience, connect deeply with all life, and release energy to act on behalf of all people and other beings.

Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and bring a snack, water bottle, a journal and pen/pencil, and an item that represents their ancestors.

Registration and commitment to attend the full workshop is required. For more information, email Demie Stathoplos at dstathoplos@gmail.com.
