The Newton Conservators will host a Mother’s Day Bird Walk in Nahanton Park. Nahanton Park offers a mix of woodlands, wetlands, edge habitat, and meadows along the Charles River. Join long-time birding guides Alison Leary and Pete Gilmore for a chance to see Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, Northern Orioles, and a variety of wood warblers. Participants should bring binoculars and wear waterproof shoes if possible. The event will take place on Sunday, May 11, 8-10:30AM at Nahanton Park (471 Nahanton Street, Oak Hill). Registration is free.
