An Afternoon with Aljoša Jurinić: Chopin’s Piano Sonatas, May 13

Aljoša Jurinić, an internationally acclaimed concert pianist and laureate of the world’s most prestigious piano competitions, will present a recital at the Newton Free Library. Hailed as a “startlingly subtle and visionary pianist,” he will perform Chopin’s monumental and charming piano sonatas, which he recently released as a solo album. It will feature Piano Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor, Op. 35 (“Funeral March”) and Piano Sonata No. 3 in B minor, Op. 58, both by F. Chopin. This free event will take place on Tuesday, May 13, 1-2PM at the Newton Free Library (330 Homer Street, Newton Centre).
