The annual Newton South HS Spring Concert will take place on March 19 at 7:30PM in the Van Seasholes Auditorium at Newton South (140 Brandeis Rd). Admission is free. The concert will feature performances by several Newton South ensembles:
- Symphonic Band, a performing group for winds, brass, and percussion;
- Wind Ensemble, a group of Symphonic Band members who study advanced repertoire;
- Madrigals, Newton South’s most advanced choral ensemble, and the
- Newton South String Orchestra.
Band, wind, and jazz ensembles are directed by Lisa Linde, who recently received national recognition as the 2025 John LaPorta Jazz Educator of the Year. String and choral ensembles are directed by Benjamin Youngman.
