Board and Commission Meetings – Week of 3/2/2025

Youth Commission will meet virtually (Zoom link) on Monday, March 3 at 6:30PM. The agenda includes the following:

  • Approve Minutes from February 10 Youth Commission Meeting

Planning and Development Board will meet in person (Room 204) and virtually (Zoom link) on Monday, March 3 at 7PM. The agenda includes the following:

  • Citizen Participation/Vote to recommend the adoption of the FY26-FY30 Consolidated Plan (Needs Assessment, Market Analysis, and Strategic Plan)
  • Discussion/Possible Vote on request for a discussion and amendments to Newton’s Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Ordinance, so it complies with the State’s Zoning Act (Ch. 40A).
  • Continued Discussion of request for discussion and possible amendments to enhance the preservation of existing homes.

Election Commission will meet in person (City Hall basement level, Cafeteria) on Tuesday, March 4 at 9:00AM to conduct ballot machine testing for the Tuesday, March 18, 2025 Special Municipal Election for all wards and precincts. See notice.
