The City of Newton is promoting the availability of these opportunities for affordable housing, for which applications are currently open for lotteries:
Opus Newton from 2Life Communities, opening in Fall of 2025, will offer apartments for rent at 777 Winchester Street for those 62 or older. Nine units are designated for income-restricted rental. A virtual information session scheduled for March 6 at 2PM will be recorded for later viewing. Applications are available online or for pickup at 2Life Communities Compliance Office (40 Wallingford Rd., Brighton) or by emailing leasing@2lifecommunities.org or calling 617-912-8416. The Beacon is a 34-unit condominium complex under construction in Newton Four Corners at 1114 Beacon Street. Six of the units are designated for income-restricted home ownership. A virtual information session scheduled for March 12 at 1PM is not required and will be recorded for later viewing.
