Newton Cultural Development is inviting middle school and high school students from Newton to contribute to the city’s creative landscape by painting mural boards that will be displayed as temporary public art installations throughout Newton as part of SHINE 2025.
Selected students will design and paint mural boards. Artists who are selected will receive a stipend of $250 per mural to cover the cost of supplies and an artist honorarium. The selected artists’ work will be promoted in local arts and news media related to Family FunFEST and Newton Parks, Recreation & Culture.
Eligibility: Open to all current middle school and high school students (grades 6-12) who live or attend school in Newton. Submission deadline is February 28 at 5PM
