The Newton Free Library will host a Haiku Writing Workshop where local poets Grey Held and Elizabeth Lund — two of the directors of Haiku Newton — will talk about the history of haiku and introduce participants to a variety of image-related exercises and sensory activities to help spark creative ideas. No writing experience is necessary. It will take place on Tuesday, February 4, 7-8PM at the Newton Free Library (330 Homer Street, Newton Centre). Registration is free.
