The Newton Free Library will present a webinar, Revitalization and Reconstruction of the Taino Language, on Monday, December 16 at 7PM on Zoom. Kasike Jorge Baracutay Estevez will speak on the challenges of reviving the Indigenous Taino Arawak language/s of the Caribbean, as well as his work on Hiwatahia: Hekexi Taino Language Dictionary, a new 20,000-word dictionary.
