The Newton Free Library will be hosting Astronomy Night for Adults: Observing Jupiter and Saturn, an evening of learning and stargazing to explore our solar system’s gas giants, Jupiter and Saturn. First, Alex will teach about these majestic planets: how they were formed, why they are so different from Earth, and how we study them. Alex will also use cutting0edge computer software to explore how these planets seem to travel across the night sky throughout the year. After dark, participants can view Jupiter and Saturn through a 6″ telescope, weather permitting. It will take place on Monday, November 25, 7-8:30PM at the Newton Free Library (330 Homer Street, Newton Centre).
