West Newton Cinema: “The Old Oak” + panel on Immigration, Sept. 12

On September 12, 6PM-9PM, the West Newton Cinema Foundation (WNCF) will host a screening of Ken Loach’s film, The Old Oak, followed by a panel discussion about the film and immigration, featuring former Congressman Joe Kennedy III and Boston Globe columnist Marcela García and moderated by Ty Burr of the WNCF.

The event takes place at the West Newton Cinema (1296 Washington Street, West Newton). Tickets on sale here.

The event is a joint fundraiser for WNCF, which is restoring the Cinema as a community cultural center, and English for New Bostonians, a nonprofit that provides English language instruction to immigrants and refugees in the Greater Boston area.
