I support Rick Lipof for State Representative because he is an effective advocate for tackling the housing and climate crises.
Rick’s tenure as Chair of Newton City Council’s Land Use Committee has given him a deep understanding of how to add both affordable and “missing middle” housing. He helped gain approval for many multi-family housing projects that enable lower and middle-income residents to stay here. Rick has backed housing near village centers and mass transit, which helps residents drive less — and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Rick also supports other strategies to address climate change, including greener buildings, electric vehicles, and advancing the electrification of our transportation system.
Lastly, Rick’s experience as a business owner sets him apart in this race because he appreciates what MA businesses need to be successful.
I urge 12th District Newton and Brookline residents to vote for Rick Lipof for State Representative.
