Reddy: Amy Sangiolo for 11th Middlesex State Representative

I am writing to express my strong support for Amy Sangiolo as the State Representative for the 11th Middlesex District.

As a young resident of Newton, I am particularly aware of the critical need for proactive climate action. Amy’s dedication to environmental advocacy has been steadfast throughout her career. Her work with the National Wildlife Federation, Container Recycling, and the Sierra Club—where she focused on endangered species proposals and water laws—demonstrates her deep commitment. As a Newton City Councilor, she championed the Tree Preservation Ordinance, Community Preservation efforts, and the creation of a nonprofit foundation to support Newton’s cultural and environmental initiatives. Amy is also actively working to ban harmful PFAS chemicals.

Amy’s positions on renewable energy, sustainable development, and eco-friendly transportation are not only well-researched but also informed by her extensive experience. Her efforts, while mindful of Newton’s budget, align with Massachusetts’ ambitious goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. Amy’s climate action efforts are both refreshing and inspiring, offering a much-needed sense of hope and urgency in addressing our environmental challenges.

I wholeheartedly encourage you to support Amy Sangiolo’s campaign for state representative. Make your voice heard by voting in Newton’s primary on September 3rd.
