Newton Community Pride (NCP) is accepting applications until September 1 for its Fall 2024 Micro Grants. Successful applications must align with the mission of NCP to support arts and culture, public art, service, and beautification in the Newton community. A total of $10,000 is available to be awarded in this round, with grants averaging $300-$1,100 each (you may request up to $1,500). The event or program funded must occur between November 1, 2024 and March 31, 2025.
Since its inception, the NCP Community Micro Grant program has awarded over $30,000 to artists, arts organizations, and neighborhood groups. NCP Executive Director Blair Lesser Sullivan noted that NCP “believes strongly in providing seed money to support local events and projects that enhance and build community. A little bit of financial support goes a long way and we look forward each cycle to investing in more Newton arts and culture programming, public art, service and beautification projects.”
