As your Ward 6 Councilor-at-Large, I have worked closely with Rick Lipof for many years and I can say with full confidence that he will represent the 12th Middlesex District as he has the City of Newton, with energy, creativity and compassion. As Vice President of the Council, Chair of Land Use, Public Safety & Transportation, Real Property Re-use and Vice Chair of Finance, I have watched Rick be the voice of reason, always looking to find common ground to move the needle forward.
On a personal note, I have watched how Rick has turned enemies in to allies and allies into true friends. The fulfillment he finds in getting things done mirrors the joy he finds in relationship building while serving his community. In a cynical political world, Rick’s approach is a breath of fresh air and much welcomed in these negative times.
We need serious people that love our community, have the interpersonal skills to build bridges, and the drive to produce real results for our community. I wholeheartedly endorse Rick as the State Representative to accomplish all we need and desire for the 12th District.
