Crossley: Rick Lipof for 12th Middlesex State Representative

Having worked closely on the Newton City Council with all three of my former colleagues now vying for the 12th District State Representative seat, I believe Councilor Rick Lipof will be the most effective state legislator for Newton and Brookline.

Rick is a community builder, a listener and a problem solver. His decades of public service exhibit an open-minded, practical, inclusive, caring and collaborative approach to seeking practical, forward thinking solutions.

Rick has strong personal skills, and knows that building trusting relationships is essential to achieving consensus in a large and diverse political body.

I also support Rick because he has demonstrated a keen awareness that we must achieve sufficient housing affordable to a wide spectrum of income earners as central to our environmental, economic and community health. And he knows that advancing a broad range of climate actions is essential to realizing a clean energy future.

Rick’s professional, business and public service experience combine to make him uniquely qualified to contribute meaningfully to the work ahead, including decent, safe and affordable housing for all, wise land use, transportation, energy and environmental policies, high quality public education, equity and inclusivity.

I trust that Rick will be a strong advocate for state investment in our communities to help us achieve these goals.

The September 3 Primary will determine who will represent District 12. Please join me in voting for Rick Lipof to be our next State Representative!
