Zoning & Planning voted to approve the following (see Report and watch the meeting video here):
- Requesting discussion and possible ordinance amendments relative to aiding small businesses impacted by development: Approved 3-1-3 (Councilor Baker Opposed) (Councilors Oliver, Wright, and Getz Abstained). Amendments proposed include defining and regulating business incubators and places of amusement, removing the use of fast-food establishments, and requiring special permits for restaurants with drive-throughs.
Zoning & Planning voted to hold the following:
- Requesting discussion regarding NewGov: Held 7-0. Discussion focused on providing Councilors and the public with a demonstration on how to navigate and use the NewGov system effectively.
- Requesting discussion regarding community engagement process for large projects: Held 6-0 (Councilor Albright Not Voting). Discussion aimed to enhance public participation and engagement in the process for large developments.
