Zoning Board of Appeals will meet in person (Council Chamber) and virtually (Zoom link) on Tuesday, July 16 at 7PM. The agenda includes the following (see Meeting Packet):

  • Continued Public Hearing on a request for a Comprehensive Permit, pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 40B, to construct a 307-unit residential development on a 4.76 square acre lot located at 78-84 Crafts Street, 68-70 Crafts Street, 9 Maguire Court, 17-19 Maguire Court, 67R Court Street, 63 Court Street, 13-15 Maguire Court, 24 Maguire Court, 31 Maguire Court, and 31R Maguire Court. The proposal includes 62 affordable units and 263 parking spaces. See Planning Memo

Board of License Commissioners will meet virtually (Zoom link) on Tuesday, July 16 at 7:30PM. The agenda includes the following:

  • Applications for one-day temporary wine and malt licenses:
    • Party on Thursday, August 1 from 6PM – 7:30PM at JCC of Greater Boston, 333 Nahanton Street
    • Receptions on Friday, September 20 from 7PM – 10PM and Sunday, September 29 from 5PM – 9PM at Church of the Redeemer, 379 Hammond Street
  • Application for a one-day temporary all-alcohol license for reunion waited buffet with bar on Friday, July 26 from 7PM – 10PM at Boston College Lyons Dining Hall, 140 Commonwealth Avenue
  • Applications for a new common victualler license
    • The Cookie Monstah Company d/b/a The Cookie Monstah, 839 Washington Street. The hours of operation will be Monday – Sunday from 11AM – 10PM. There will be 15 seats.
    • Seasonal Food Brands d/b/a Sebastian’s Cafe, 2 Wells Avenue. The hours of operation will be Monday – Friday from 7AM – 2PM. There will be 100 seats.
  • Applicaton for change of manager to be exercised at CHSP TRS Newton LLC d/b/a Boston Marriott Newton Hotel, 2345 Commonwealth Avenue. The on-site manager will change from Christopher James Allen to Daniel Charles Pickett.
  • Requested appearance of business because notification of an alleged violation (live outdoor music) occurred on May 14, 2024 – ANP Ventures, Inc d/b/a Baramor – 45 Union Street.
  • Application to change annual entertainment license by ANP Ventures, Inc d/b/a Baramor, 45 Union Street. The entertainment application is to extend the current entertainment license to the outdoor dining area. The current license consists of televisions, live/acoustical music, recorded music, trivia, karaoke, and pool table.

Urban Tree Commission will not meet this week. The virtual meeting originally scheduled for July 19 has been cancelled.
