Land Use Committee – 6/4/24 Report

The Land Use Committee voted to Approve the following (see Report and watch the meeting Video):

  • Request to extend the nonconforming use by constructing improvements to the Woodland Golf Course club house pavilion, a snack shack, to amend Special Permits #234-10 and #449-22 at 1897 & 1947 Washington Street (8-0) No one spoke at the public hearing. (Petition Documents, Draft Council Order)

The Land Use Committee voted No Action Necessary on the following:

  • Update on proposed changes on plans previously approved in Special Permit #394-22 at 136-144 Hancock Street (8-0). The overall project is decreasing in size, with the amount of common area decreasing. There is no change in the number of units (16), and the number of bedrooms is increasing by 7. The proposed changes will be filed with the City.

The Commissioner of Inspectional Services sought a consistency ruling concerning the location and length of the retaining walls, the heights of the buildings, and a ramp that was not installed that was shown on the approved plans for 1092-1098 Chestnut Street. Chair Kelley noted it was the sense of the committee to rule this was consistent. (Petition Documents)
