Historic Newton is hosting a walking tour — 100+ Years Ago in Auburndale — where participants will learn about the people and institutions that shaped the village today through past sites of importance from the 18th-20th centuries including one of the oldest homes in Newton. It will take around one hour, cover around one-half to one mile, and sturdy shoes and a water bottle are recommended. It will take place on Wednesday, August 14, 6-7PM. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for members, and free for kids 12 and under. The exact meeting location for each walking tour will be shared after buying tickets.
