Retaining Walls at 21 Oakland Street (Item #202-24): Authorization for special permit/site plan approval to reconstruct a series of retaining walls exceeding four feet in height within the side and rear setbacks. The walls are necessary due to the steep grade and will replace those installed without proper permits in 1987 and reconstructed improperly three years ago. Approved unanimously. (5-0)
Petition Documents Draft Council Order
Day Care Center at 66 Needham Street (Item #203-24): Request for an administrative site plan review and a special permit to waive 6 parking stalls to introduce a daycare center, Creative Kids Studio, into space formerly occupied by a retail showroom. The proposal includes removing one parking stall for an outdoor play area and using a staggered pickup/drop-off system to manage traffic. The site is in a Mixed Use 2 district. A signage plan for safe access and egress for cars was added as a condition. Approved unanimously. (5-0)
