Music Mondays will offer a concert on April 29, 2PM-3PM — both in-person at the Scandinavian Center and live streamed via Zoom. The concert will feature early 20th century gems for flute, violin, and piano by Mel Bonis, Harry Thacker Burleigh, Henri Rabaud, Philippe Gaubert, and Bohuslav Martinu, performed by Trio Tableau: Catherine French, David Houston, and Joy Cline Phinney.
Catherine French is a prize winning Canadian violinist who has been a member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra since 1994. David Houston is a superb flutist, flute teacher and flute maker in the Boston area. Joy Cline Phinney is a much sought after concert pianist and chamber musician residing in Newton.
Admission is free as usual, and donations much appreciated, at the door or online (Venmo @Music-Mondays, Zelle to musicmondaysnewton@gmail.com) or by check to Music Mondays, Inc. (email musicmondaysnewton@gmail.com for mailing address if not attending in person).
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Newton Cultural Council, a local agency that is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency, and in part by the Village Bank of Newton.
