Mother’s Day Bird Walk at Nahanton Park, May 12

Join Newton Conservators and Friends of Nahanton Park on Sunday, May 12, 8AM-10:30AM, for a free Mother’s Day Bird Walk at Nahanton Park. This park offers a mix of woodlands, wetlands, edge habitat, and meadows along the Charles River, making it one of the best birding spots in Newton for migrants as well as resident species. The group will meet at the Nahanton Street entrance to Nahanton Park (471 Nahanton Street), which is next to the river. Parking is available inside the park. Bring binoculars if you have them. Beginners as well as experienced birders are welcome. Waterproof shoes are recommended. The walk will be canceled in steady rain. The trip Leaders are experienced birders, Alison Leary (617-821-5619) and Haynes Miller (617-413-2419). To learn more about other free Newton Conservators spring walks, webinars and events, please visit the Newton Conservators Events Page.
