City Councilor Maria Scibeli Greenberg is asking the community to donate new and lightly used children’s clothing and shoes, as well as flour, rice laundry detergent and diapers, for homeless families currently housed at an emergency shelter on the grounds of Our Lady Help of Christians Parish. The shelter is one of the Catholic Charities’ partnership with the United Way’s SafetyNet program. Councilor Greenberg expressed gratitude the many people who have responded to the needs of shelter residents and will continue to collect donations in the box on her porch at 108 Adams Street.
