Green Newton invites the public to a walking Sustainable Street Tour on Sunday, June 2nd, 1PM-4PM at Montclair Road in Waban. Start at the Welcome Tent directly across the street from Lincoln Field.
Attendees will walk along a short distance from one home to the next, meeting with the Newton homeowners who will share their experiences on how they made their homes more energy efficient with heat pumps, solar panels, and EV chargers. In addition, participants can meet “Energy Coaches” — volunteer experts who will answer questions and provide resources and information to help everyone make their home more energy efficient and sustainable.
Green Newton Executive Director, Judy Lehrer Jacobs said, “the Sustainable Street Tour is a wonderful opportunity for people to meet and learn from their neighbors who have taken steps to make their homes – and community – more energy efficient and sustainable for the long-term.”
