Carroll Center for the Blind: Walk for Independence, June 1

The Carroll Center for the Blind’s 12th annual Walk for Independence will take place on the Mt. Ida campus of UMass Amherst in Newton (100 Carlson Avenue) on June 1. Register online or on-site (at 8:30AM), either as an individual or part of a team. The Walk kick-off is at 9:30AM, with post-walk BBQ and activities 10AM-Noon.

The Walk for Independence supports the Carroll Center for the Blind’s mission of empowering those who are blind or visually impaired to achieve independence and to lead a fulfilling life. Attendees will complete a 1, 2, or 3-mile walk around the Mt. Ida campus followed by activities for all ages.
