Board and Commission Meetings – Week of 4/14/2024

Board of Assessors will meet in person (Room 108) on Wednesday, April 17 at 9AM. The agenda includes approval of March 2024 Exemption and Abatement Reports.

Newton Retirement Board will meet in person (Room 204) meeting on Wednesday, April 17 at 10AM. The agenda includes a special evidentiary hearing on an Accidental Disability Retirement application filed by Lisa Mikoleit. NOTE: The Board may enter in Executive Session.

Chestnut Hill Historic District Commission will meet virtually (Zoom link) on Thursday, April 18 at 7PM. The agenda includes the following:

  • Request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to amend the previously approved hardscaping plan at 101 Old Orchard Road
  • Review of the violation of the Historic District Ordinance and a request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to remediate the violation for work done to install vents on the front of the building that were not granted any Certificate of Appropriateness at 92 Reservoir Avenue
  • Request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to replace an existing fence at 8 Lawrence Road.
  • Request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to install a generator at 32 Suffolk Road.
  • request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to install granite curbing at 108 Reservoir Avenue.
  • Request for Final Project Approval for the chimney, rear balustrade, and columns at 46 Woodman Road.

Urban Tree Commission will meet virtually (Zoom link) on Friday, April 19 at 7:45AM. The agenda includes the following:

  • Approve minutes from the February and March meetings
  • Forestry Department update with budget update
  • Tree removal requests
  • Tree Ordinance: Continued review of procedures and Programs and Services discussion
  • Gas leak map from Peter Barrer
  • New business
