FUUSN Climate Change Workshop: Introduction to the Work that Reconnects, Apr. 6

The Climate Action Task Force of the First Unitarian Society in Newton (FUUSN) will host a free climate change workshop — Introduction to the Work that Reconnects — on April 6, 1PM-5PM at FUUSN (1326 Washington Street, West Newton).

There is no fee for the workshop. Registration is required. Participants should bring a journal or notebook to write in, their own water bottle and a snack, a yoga/exercise mat and a picture or object that represents your ancestors.

The workshop is facilitated by Demie Stathoplos of FUUSN and based on the writings and work of Joanna Macy (Coming Back to Life and Active Hope) and The Work that Reconnects. About the workshop:

It’s easy to see that “business as usual” is causing harm to our earth’s ecosystems, and suffering for people all over the world as the effects of climate change cause greater and greater destruction. This half-day workshop will explore this important framework that can enliven and empower us in this time that Joanna Macy calls The Great Turning.
