The Traffic Council voted to approve the following (see Report and watch NewTV video):
- Removal of an accessible parking space at 432 Lowell Avenue in Ward 2. The accessible parking space is no longer needed. The Committee voted to approve 3-0.
- A stop sign at the intersection of Temple Street, southbound, at Fuller Street. The stop sign will go to a T intersection, where there is an implied stop. According to the Traffic Engineer, although a stop sign is not necessary, it is allowed to clarify who has the right of way and make a small safety improvement.
- Stop sign at the end of the Peirce Elementary School parking lot, southbound, at the intersection of Ruane Road. According to the Transportation Coordinator, there are many children crossing at this crosswalk and the stop sign will help clarify who has the right of way at a T intersection with a crosswalk.
