Each year, the City of Newton receives a number of Boston Marathon bibs in recognition of Newton’s key role in hosting part of the Marathon route, including Heartbreak Hill. The City awards these bibs by lottery to Newton-based nonprofits. This is the first year that Fig City News has received a Marathon bib.
