The City of Newton was incorporated as a city on Inauguration Day 150 years ago, in 1874. This year, on Inauguration Day — January 1 — the public is invited to gather 2PM-4PM in the War Memorial Auditorium in City Hall for a family friendly 150th anniversary celebration with cake, music, and some surprises.
