For the fourth year, Newton Neighbors is holding its Great Giving Thanks Gift Card drive to raise money for supermarket gift cards for families experiencing food insecurity. Last year, Newton Neighbors served 150 families throughout Newton, Brockton, and Waltham with supermarket gift cards. The goal each year is to distribute $50 – $100 gift cards to every family who needs help, in time for Thanksgiving and the winter holiday season. Make donations here throughout November.
The Village Bank has kicked off this year’s drive with a donation of $2,000. The drive has so far achieved 45% of its goal of $15,000.
