As a longtime Newton citizen and retired clinical psychologist, I strongly urge Newton voters to support a positive future by voting for Doris Ann Sweet for Ward 4 City Councilor.
In her professional – as well as her personal – life, Doris Ann has been laser focused on being helpful to others. She’s a very thoughtful, experienced reference librarian who has lived in Newton for half a century, where she raised a family and has regularly expressed her values about public issues articulately. As a City Councilor, she will engage in open dialogue to address the full range of issues that come before the Council.
As Newton has become more socially responsible and diverse over the years, Doris Ann has intensified her efforts to collaborate with those in leadership positions to address a broad range of environmental concerns, the need for affordable housing, efforts to create alternative and safer transportation, improve education, and much more.
By voting for Doris Ann you will support all City Councilors working to promote change to help us create a better world.
