I support Randy Block for Ward 4 City Councilor and I urge you to do the same.
I’ve worked closely with Randy on the LFIA Riverside Committee and was consistently impressed with his grasp of the issues and his leadership. He was generous with his time and energy and always ready to listen to the needs and concerns of the people on our committee, the neighborhood, and the city.
Randy is smart, strategic, fair, and well-informed about the issues facing Newton at this critical point, and especially the needs of Newton Lower Falls and Auburndale. He is not anti-development or anti-housing. In fact, he is just the opposite — he believes in finding solutions that meet the needs of current residents who cherish their community as well as making Newton welcoming and available to new and diverse residents. Randy will be a calm and reasonable voice about zoning, development, infrastructure, schools, the environment, and the budget. In addition to being endorsed by our outgoing Ward Councilor, Chris Markiewicz and our current Councilor-at-Large Lenny Gentile, Randy is a respected member of our community. I have no doubt he will be the advocate we need in Ward 4.
Sincerely,
Cyrisse Jaffee
