  • 5 Land Use petitions with these requests:
    • Exceed FAR at 93 Ruane Road (construction of one-story addition)
    • Allow parking in the front setback at 70 Kingswood Road (demolition of attached garage and two-story additions)
    • Allow 4 single-family attached dwellings at 2202 Commonwealth Avenue (demolition of existing dwelling and construction of 4 single-family attached dwellings and allow a driveway and parking within setback)
    • Allow a two-story building on an undersized Manufacturing lot at 0 Rumford Avenue (storage warehouse and tree removal business)
    • Amend the current special permit to remove 8 parking stalls to be used for 48 outdoor dining seats in front of 9-13 Kenneth Street
  • Discussion and possible creation of an Ordinance Regarding Vibration Control Measures

Land Use will meet on Tuesday and hold public hearings on the following requests:

  • Amend current site plan and parking waivers at 1349 Centre Street
  • Construct a deck further extending the nonconforming setbacks at 147 Cherry Street
  • Expand a detached garage further extending a nonconforming setback at 75 Royce Road
  • Demolish the existing dwelling and construct 3 single-family attached dwellings at 236 Chapel Street
  • Allow a for-profit educational use and to waive 19 parking stalls at 60 Highland Street
  • Amend the current special permit by increasing the parking waiver from 97 stalls to 172 stalls and to amend Condition #3 at 839-853 Washington Street (TRIO)
  • Rezone and construct elderly housing with services at 11 Florence and 318 Boylston Street (Sunrise)

Programs and Services will meet on Wednesday to review these requests:

  • Amend Tree Preservation Ordinance – Committee to discuss scheduling for upcoming meetings
  • Confirmatory Order of Taking for Webster Woods

Public Safety and Transportation will meet on Wednesday and hear appeals on 2 Traffic Council decisions:

  • Changes to the parking regulations on Columbia Avenue
  • Parking Prohibitions at all times on portions of Farwell Street

Public Facilities – Meeting canceled.

School Committee

Negotiations Subcommittee will meet on Monday to discuss negotiation and mediation strategy as well as conduct a collective bargaining session with the mediator and the NTA Units A-E.

The School Committee will meet on Wednesday to discuss strategy with respect to collective barganing with the NTA Units A-E.

Newton Fair Housing – Lottery and Lease-Up Subcommittee will meet on Tuesday to review:

  • Process to ask for data from recent lotteries at Haywood House, 2Life Communities, and Allee on the Charles, and Bristol Waban Condominiums
  • Workplan and priorities for the coming year

Election Commission will meet on Tuesday:

  • Certification of September Preliminary election
  • Drawing of ballot positions for the November 7th Municipal Election
