School Committee
Negotiations Subcommittee of the School Committee will meet in executive session to conduct a strategy session and a collective bargaining session with NESA.
Boards and Commissions
Newton Free Library Trustees- Nominating and Governance Committee will meet on Monday to discuss policy review, trustee vacancies, new Trustee Orientation, committee assignments, and officer nominations.
Newton Cultural Council will meet on Monday to discuss Council Priorities for 2024, grant season marketing materials, and an update on the Grantee Reception.
Newton Commonwealth Foundation, which operates the Newton Commonwealth Golf Course, will meet on Tuesday to receive reports from the Treasurer, Grounds, Pro Shop, and the Finance and Audit Committee, and to discuss capital projects and the election of officers.
Newton Historical Commission will meet on Wednesday to discuss:

Other
There will be a Preliminary Election on September 12 for the voters of Ward 2 and Ward 6 to choose which two of three candidates for their Ward Councilor will compete in the November election.
