CANCELED — Newton Conservators: Late Season Pollinators at Hammond Woods, Sept. 23

This event has been CANCELED due to forecast of rain. On Saturday, September 23, 10AM-12PM, former Deputy Director of Mass Fisheries and Wildlife Jon Regosin will lead the latest in a series of Newton Conservators BioBlitz outings – this one in Hammond Woods. Learn how to identify native plants, birds, butterflies, or other living things with the free iNaturalist app on your phone. On this walk, learn more about nature in Newton, spend time surveying plants and animals, and posting observations to iNaturalist. You do not need to be an experienced naturalist or expert to participate. Families are welcome. Meet at the Hammond Pond Reservation trailhead off Hammond Pond Parkway and the entrance to the Street shopping area. Preregistration is encouraged but not necessary. Visit the event listing for the latest info in case of rain.
