City Council

Public Facilities will meet on Wednesday and discuss:

  • Request for a grant of location request by Eversource in Boylston Street east of Hammond Pond Parkway
  • Request to approve on roadway infrastructure improvements for Elliot Street Traffic Calming Project
  • Reappointment of Jonathan Kantar to the Citizens Commission on Energy

School Committee

Three Executive Sessions are scheduled this week:

Board and Commission Meetings

Library Trustees Development Committee will meet on Tuesday: FY23 Year End Review and FY24 Next Steps.

Library Trustees will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday and vote on Interim Officers for the Nominating & Governance Committees.

Licensing Commission will meet on Tuesday and discuss the following:

  • One Day Temporary Wine and Malt License for a wedding at Auburndale Park on September 9.
  • One Day Temporary All-Alcohol and Entertainment License for a Fundraiser Cabaret on Monday, July 24 at Newton City Hall
  • Change of Site Manager for Newton Wine and Spirits
  • Change of officers/directors/LLC managers at Star Market – 1 Boylston Street
  • Request for the appearance of Centre Group LLC d/b/a Union Street as the restaurant/license holder has been closed for more than 30 days and licensee has failed to notify the Board of its intention regarding the alcohol license

Board of Assessors will meet on Wednesday and review and approve the June 2023 Exemption and Abatement Reports.

Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a site visit for the 528 Boylston Street project on Thursday* to view the existing site conditions and the area where approximately 244 units of rental housing are proposed to be located.

Other

The Middlesex Conservation District will meet on Monday, June 17 at 7PM in the Meeting Room in Albert J. Sargent Memorial Library at 427 Massachusetts Avenue, Boxborough, MA, and report on activities and financial affairs since the last Annual Meeting and elect supervisors for the Middlesex Conservation District of the State of Massachusetts (see Meeting Announcement).
