Last week, we introduced the first two of our four Fig City News high-school summer interns. We are now pleased to introduce our other two interns, who are starting this week.
- Joey Giragos is a rising junior at Newton South High School, sports editor of the Lion’s Roar, and an avid sports writer, player, referee, and coach. This week, he wrote about Newton’s newest national champion (age 11).
- Andrey Sarkanich is a rising junior at Newton North High School who has experience writing for his school newspaper, loves to figure things out and be in the know, and has written 12 articles for Fig City News since March.
They both have a lot to offer Fig City News and the Newton community, and we look forward to their help.
