Newton Free Library Board of Trustees Development Committee will meet virtually (Zoom link) on Tuesday, July 18 at 2PM. The agenda includes the following:

Library Board of Trustees will hold a special virtual meeting (Zoom link) on Tuesday, July 18 at 5:30PM. The agenda includes the following:

  • Nominating & Governance: Interim Officers (Vote)

Board of License Commissioners will meet virtually (Zoom link) on Tuesday, July 18 at 7:30PM. The agenda includes the following:

  • Request for a one-day temporary wine and malt license for a wedding on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 10AM – 6PM at the Auburndale Park, 104 West Pine Street.
  • Application for a change of manager from Nilesh Patel to Anshuman Patel to be exercised at Newton Wine & Spirits Inc d/b/a Newton Wine & Spirits, 1142 Beacon Street.
  • Application for a change of officers/directors/LLC managers to be exercised at Star Markets Company, Inc d/b/a Star Market, 1 Boylston Street.
  • Application for a new common victualler license to be exercised at LPM Holding Inc d/b/a Sebastians, 55 Chapel Street.
  • The Board of License Commissioners requested the following alcohol license holder to appear in front of the commission because the restaurant has been closed for more than 30 days and the license holder has failed to notify the Board of its intention regarding the alcohol licenseCentre Group LLC d/b/a Union Street, 107R Union Street Newton, Massachusetts 02459.

Newton Board of Assessors will meet in person (Room 108) on Wednesday, July 19 at 9AM. The agenda includes the following:

  • Approval of June 2023 Exemption and Abatement Reports

Zoning Board of Appeals will conduct a site visit on Thursday, July 20 at 8AM to view the existing conditions of the site that includes 528 Boylston Street, 516 Boylston Street, 502-504 Boylston Street, 0 Boylston Street, 0 Hagen Road, 32-34 Hurley Place, and 24-26 Hurley Place and to view the area where approximately 244 units of rental housing will be located (see Site Visit Notice). NOTE: The Notice states that street parking is available at Hurley Place and Olde Field Road.
