The Falls at Cordingly Dam named one of best assisted living communities in the U.S.

Located in Newton Lower Falls, the Falls at Cordingly Dam, an assisted living and Mind & Memory Care community, was ranked as one of the best assisted living communities in the Commonwealth and the entire country for the second straight year in a row.

According to the US News & World Report 2023-2024 Best Senior Living Communities webpage, in order for a community to receive recognition, individual locations had to earn a specific final weighted score tabulated in the independent methodology developed by the U.S. News health data analytics team. The methodology involves a survey of senior care customers and employees in which a series of questions are asked of a resident, family member, or appointed representative. Assisted Living community rankings require at least 5 total responses from residents or families and at least 30% of the residents (or family) responses to the survey.

Respondents for the Falls gave the community high marks in overall value, management and staff, resident enrichment, dining and food, safety, transportation, maintenance, housekeeping, and location.

Tom Grape, founder, chairman, and CEO of Benchmark said, “We are honored and humbled that our residents and their families, once again, recognized the hard work, compassion, and dedication of our 6,000-plus associates. It’s their shared purpose of transforming lives through human connection that earned Benchmark these U.S. News & World Report awards and continues to separate Benchmark communities from other senior living companies.”

The Falls at Cordingly Dam offers a range of living experiences including independent assisted living to specialized memory care, assisted living that includes supportive living services, transportation, and assistance with daily activities (dressing and medication management). The Falls’ award-winning Mind & Memory Care program offers carefully created living environments and unique opportunities for those with Alzheimer’s and dementia and residents are supported by 24/7 care providers.

“Our team is committed to keeping our residents connected to who and what matters most through outstanding care and experiences,” said Deb Foster, executive director of The Falls. “Exceeding expectations every day is what we strive for so it’s incredibly exciting to have our dedication recognized by an industry leader like U.S. News.”
