St. Mary’s Craft Sale: Items made by — and supporting — women who are Afghan evacuees, May 14

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church (258 Concord Street, Lower Falls) is hosting an Afghan Women’s Craft Sale, 11AM-Noon on Sunday, May 14. Come buy pillows, aprons, cosmetic bags, scrunchies, or baby quilts crafted by women who are Afghan evacuees. The ability of these folks, many of whom are mothers, to supplement their family’s income through selling handicrafts is an enormous help to achieving self-sufficiency while living in their current home of Manchester, NH. Cash, check, or credit cards are all accepted. This sale is part of the Sewing Seeds for Hope project. For questions, please contact Kitty Smith, ktts1@comcast.net or project coordinator Hansi Dean, hansidean@aol.com.
