The Newton Conservators will host a webinar, How Small Mammal Personalities May Shape Forests Under Changing Climates, on June 7 at 7PM. Register here. Maine graduate student Ivy Yen will speak about her research, covered in the New York Times, about how the small mammal personalities (whether they are shy or bold) differentially select and cache seeds to influence future forest regeneration. She will explain that it takes a range of personalities to maintain forests.
