The School Committee will meet in person (Room 304) on Monday, March 27 at 6PM and vote to enter into Executive Session to discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining with the NTA (see Meeting Notice).
The School Committee will hold an in-person Public Hearing on Tuesday, March 28 at 6PM at the Newton North High School Cafeteria, 457 Walnut Street (live broadcast on NewTV) regarding the topic of this petition to create an Academic Principles Advisory Committee. The Public Hearing will be held in accordance with Article 10 Section 2 of the City of Newton Charter, which allows for 50 certified voters to request a Public Hearing of the School Committee to deliberate on actions or measures requested by petitioners. According to the Meeting Notice, the School Committee is requesting that those who wish to speak sign up in advance using this sheet, which will close 15 minutes prior to the official start time of the hearing.
