Cherry Street Players will continue their Classical with a Twist series with a concert, Women in Time, on April 2 at The Allen Center (35 Webster Street, West Newton). The prelude at 3PM features Newton composers Francine Trester and Jackie Zhang. The concert at 4PM features compositions by Trester, Sarasate’s Carmen Fantasy, and Bach’s Inventions for violin and cello. Tickets are $25 (students $5).
