The West Suburban YMCA is offering a FREE American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification Class on February 4 and 5, 9AM-4PM both days, at its Church Street location in Newton Corner. Learn valuable life-saving skills and make some extra money, too. Join a fun, welcoming, and inclusive organization as a lifeguard at the Y by signing up for this class today! The Y will reimburse the $350 course fee for all who pass. Applicants must be at least 16, able to swim 300 yards and tread water for 2 minutes, and commit to working as a lifeguard for the WSYMCA for 1-2 shifts per week.
