In conjunction with National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, the Sons of the American Legion will host the eighth annual Newton Police Appreciation Day on Monday, January 9, 5:30PM-8:30PM at the American Legion Post 440 (295 California Street, Newton). The event is free and open to the public – to recognize and support the fine men and women of the Newton Police Department. The keynote speaker will be Middlesex County Sheriff Peter Koutoujian. There will be food (compliments of multiple area restaurants), a cash bar, musical entertainment, and recognition of the outstanding community achievement of Newton’s Finest. “Meet a cop and celebrate Newton’s Top Cop.”
