The Public Safety and Transportation Committee voted to approve the following (see Report and watch the video on NewTV):
- 8 Requests for renewal of public auto licenses:
- American Truck & Equipment Sales, LLC
- Boston Cool Ride Limo Inc.
- Don’s Car Service.
- Izmo Limo, LLC.
- MHS Worldwide, LLC.
- Newton Limos Company, LLC.
- Om Sai Enterprises Inc.
- Mindful Livery LLC
NOTE: Sergeant Wade stated that Boston Cool Ride Limo Inc. and Don’s Car Service were inspected in October 2022. The remaining public autos were inspected in the Spring of 2022. All vehicles passed inspection, appropriate paperwork received, and there were no complaints.
The following items were held:
- Request for regular discussions with the Police Department regarding police data, including crashes, types of calls, numbers, and dispositions.
- Request for a discussion and amendment to City Ordinances necessary to continue outdoor dining on a permanent basis.
- Request to grant administrative authority to the Commissioner of Public Works, the Director of Planning and Development, and the Police Chief to seasonably approve the use of on‐street parking spaces for restaurant outdoor dining.
