The Friends of the Upper Falls Greenway will host a community tour of the Upper Falls Riverwalk on Sunday, December 4, starting at 1PM. Please meet at the benches near the Braceland Park parking lot, south of the Chestnut St – Pennsylvania Ave intersection in Newton Upper Falls (map). The tour will take about an hour.
We will start with an Inaugural Toast at the gate by the Charles River, recently installed by the City and paid for by community donations. Then we will explore the informal trail along the previously inaccessible 1/3 mile pedestrian pathway along the Charles River, north of the Greenway, with connections up the Greenway and under the bridge to Williams St.
