Longwood Symphony Orchestra concert to benefit Shelter Music Boston, Dec. 3

The Longwood Symphony Orchestra will present a concert of Coleridge-Taylor, Assad, and Beethoven on December 3 at 8PM in New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall with guest conductor Kristo Kondakci and violin soloist Adrian Anantawan. The concert will benefit Shelter Music Boston, which brings music to homeless shelters and substance misuse centers. Mr. Anantawan is also the Artistic Director of Shelter Music Boston. The LSO’s musicians are primarily healthcare professionals, and Newton residents in the LSO include Dr. Michael Barnett (oboe, internal medicine), Dr. Shirie Leng (violin, anesthesia), Dr. Richard Parker (violin, internal medicine), Dr. Lisa Wong (violin, pediatrics), and Dr. Stephen Wright (bassoon, gastroenterology).
